eID panel calls for expertise

The Thematic Network for Universal ID (known as SSEDIC, Scoping the Single European Digital Identity Community) is an independent group of companies and organisations, established by the European Commission to give advice on long term policy concerning electronic identity.

As part of this effort, SSEDIC is establishing an eID Expert Panel of professionals dealing with all different aspects of electronic identity and Internet privacy and security issues. SSEDIC is not only looking for experts in IT or consultants, but for professionals from all business sectors (such as finance, retail, transport and media) and the public sector who are dealing with these issues.

Member of the panel will receive the quarterly SSEDIC newsletter and, maximum 4 times a year, invitations to participate in an online survey (these questionnaires take approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete). Panel members will be the first to be informed about the results of these surveys. All surveys are anonymous.

SSEDIC's objectives are to gain an understanding of:

  • attitudes towards electronic identity in your sector
  • the opportunities and possibilities to be derived from a ‘Single Digital Europe’ in this sector
